Last year when I joined Wow Korea Supporters 2015, we went to a wall painting village in Tongyeong. It was a really beautiful village with a beautiful view of the sea. When I went there last year, the weather was not really good, but for me it was still a good experience:)

The word "Dongpirang" is made of two words. One is "Dong", meaning east and the other is "Birang", meaning hill in a Tongyeong dialect. Tongyeong Agenda 21 which is an association in Tongyeong gathered people throughout the nation in order to paint murals on the walls of Dongpirang-gil Street in October 2007. Thanks to the participants' paintings, this hillside village on the sea became a new place, revitalized by the art. The view overlooking sea of Gangguan Port is fantastic as well.

In here we can find a lot of characters that we can see in animation movie!

This village is open for 24 hours and it will open all year around. The admission fee is also free:))

To get here is pretty easy. So from Seoul Express Bus Terminal, take an express bus bound for Tongyeong Bus Terminal. Transfer to Bus 101 in front of the Bus Terminal and get off at Toseonggogae Pass Bus Stop. Continue walking toward the four-way intersection and take a left to reach the venue.Dongpirang Village will be on your left.

I hope my review might help you to travel to this area. And always check on the weather before you come here. It's better to come on a sunny day:)
Hope
